Submit original (framed) works to the Gallery on Friday, April 4, between 10am-5pm for jury. Works not accepted for exhibit must be picked up on Saturday, April 5, 9-11am. Summer Solstice Plein Air Painting Event and Art Exhibit in Dexter Location: Dexter, Michigan Event Dates: 6/21/2008 - 6/22/2008 Reception: 6/21/2008 • 7-9pm
A call for all local plein air artists to join in the first annual Dexter Summer Solstice Plein Air Paint-Out and Exhibit, sponsored by Daisy Lake Art Gallery.
Artists will select a location in the Dexter Village to create one or more paintings on Saturday, June 21. The public is invited to observe the artists as they create their unique vision of this small midwestern town. Architecture, gardens, rivers, marshlands and parks are abundant and picturesque.
A reception will be held at Daisy Lake Art Gallery on Saturday, June 21st from 7-9pm, where all paintings will be exhibited and available for sale. Paintings will continue to be on exhibit at the gallery on Sunday, June 22.
ARTISTS: Registration will be required from 8-9am at the gallery. $10 registration fee.
To register, bring your painting surface, canvas, paper, etc. to Daisy Lake Gallery, 3205 Broad Street, Suite A between 8:00 & 9:00am on the morning of the event to have it stamped on the back. Artist's will then select a painting location in Dexter Village to create their unique vision of this small midwestern town. Architecture, gardens, rivers, marshlands and parks are abundant and picturesque. Bring your framed finished painting back to Daisy Lake Gallery by 6:00pm and ready to hang.
A cocktail reception will follow on Saturday evening, June 21 from 7-9pm. Unsold work may be picked up on Monday, June 23, 1-3pm.
